What we collect and what becomes public

Information in a report

We store the name you provide, your optional email and update preference, the issue category and description, the location you confirm, the representative or office you choose, your drafted message, and an optional photo.

Before upload, we re-encode a photo to remove embedded camera, device, and location metadata. We may read GPS from the original photo on your device to help place the pin, but you confirm the location before it is submitted.

What the public can see

New reports stay private while a maintainer reviews them. Once a report is approved, the public Tracker can show its category, description, photo, status, the public office it was sent to, and the location you confirmed — including its street address and map pin.

Your name and optional email are not displayed on the Tracker. Please do not include personal, medical, financial, or other sensitive information in a report or photo.

• Cloudflare hosts and protects the site, including Turnstile spam protection.
• Supabase stores report records and photos.
• LocationIQ converts the address or map location you provide into a usable location.
• Cicero may receive a Florida report's location to look up nearby public officials.
• OpenAI may review the cleaned photo, category, description, and draft message for harmful content when moderation is enabled. Its result helps a maintainer review the report; it does not publish or reject it automatically.
